Assumes those duties assigned by the principal to ensure the continued achievement of all students and the effective operation of the school.
239-day contract plus Opportunity School stipend.
Starting in the 2023-24 school year, Henrico County Public Schools will designate select schools with high rates of vacant positions and provisionally licensed staff as Opportunity Schools through the HCPS Career Ladder. This is a new pathway within the Career Ladder through which entire schools, selected by HCPS, receive compensation supplements, additional staffing resources and specialized professional learning.
Ability to plan, organize and deliver instruction to meet individual and group needs utilizing state guidelines and division curriculum.
Exhibits considerable knowledge of learning theory and best practices.
Acts in the best interests of students and models appropriate behaviors in all professional interactions.-
Monitors and administers discipline; works directly with the entire school community on disciplinary issues

Works with the principal in the implementation of the curricular and extracurricular programs;

Observes and evaluates classroom teachers and support personnel;

Supervises parts of school program as assigned, e.g. Exceptional Education, athletics, special programs, etc.;

Assists in development of master schedule as needed;

Provides staff support by availability to attend county meetings such as staff development, the PTA County Council, the Lay Advisory Committee as needed;

Attends work daily and is engaged and on task; and,

Performs other duties as assigned.
- Post Graduate Professional license (Administration and Supervision Endorsement required)
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with the community representing the school division
- A minimum of three years' experience as a teacher, administrator, or supervisor at the level to be supervised
- Must be able to communicate with diverse groups in both written and oral forms
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instruction, theory and practices of discipline and personnel evaluation theory and practice
