Assistant General Manager in training Job Description
Our AGM candidates are required to be in constant contact with the staff and customers. They need to be able to ensure their staff provides the highest quality customer services and monitor the overall financial performance of the store.
The responsibilities of a AGM are to greet the staff and customers, provide them with what they need, give intelligent recommendations and suggestions, build customer and brand trust, assist the staff with anything they need and make sure the customers have a great shopping experience.
More importantly, a perfect AGM candidate should be reliable, accommodating, courteous, and friendly to ensure that the customers are fully satisfied.
The AGMis responsible for supporting the General Manager in the execution of running their assigned location. This includes, but is not limited to:
Hiring
Coaching the staff
Producing high quality food
Delivering the Jersey Mike’s experience
Product Ordering & Inventory Management
Following the P&L
Cash handling
Following the Learning Management System Training Program
Developing others for career growth
Enforcing policies and procedures
Participating in local and national marketing initiatives
Building sales
Maintaining the equipment, scheduling service repairs as needed
Maintaining the cleanliness and proper sanitation practices in the establishment
The AGM is expected to:
1) Move or Transport up to 50 lbs without assistance unless a medical notation is made whereas any physical disabilities are covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act or a temporary doctor's note with a time frame for the restriction on your ability;
2) Work 45-50 hours per week;
3) Work the General Manager’s schedule when the GM is on vacation or working in another location
4) Have the ability to get to and from work
5) Communicate with the General Manager of any issues they are having
6) Lead by example in terms of quality of the food they make, the way they interact and provide customer service, and coming to work in a clean, fitted, and pressed uniform daily.
