Position Overview
Assistant Credit Manager is responsible for processing to secure payment for all tendered guest/Group/Catering accounts. Respond in the best interest of the hotel to every internal and external guest inquiry and/or request. Works closely with various operating departments responding to guest payment needs while ensuring timely payment to the hotel within hotel policies. Will perform some additional responsibilities in absence of the Credit Manager.

What you'll do
- Assist and Aid in enforcing hotel credit policies
Maintain support for all open receivable balances. Prepare reconciliation on demand
AR Front Office Transfers; Individual billing
Review Open Balances; Post all charges and allowances when needed to settle accounts
Prepare Catering Billing-HBA
Prepare Group Billing - HBA
Payment Refunds
A/R Payment Application and Credit Card wire Payments
Credit Card Retrievals/Chargebacks
Guest Telephone Inquiry
Enter all billing information for future reservations (celopay)
Monitor and post payments to Pink Card accounts/House Accounts and Spa Accounts. Includes processing Yearly Membership Fees and Monthly revenue
Print monthly Statements
Special Projects as needed
Any other duties as assigned
Oversees Account Receivable Clerks in absence of Credit Manager.

EDUCATIONAL AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
High School Diploma – College a +
Account Receivable and Credit background
Computer literate: Current version of Windows, Excel (Spread Sheets), Microsoft Word, Outlook and Hotel Information Systems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Accounting background a must.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must be alert and quick reasoning. Should be able to make management decisions for the best interest of the hotel. Ability to interpret instructions and guidelines set by the hotel’s policy and procedures.
