• Apprehend shoplifters and promptly complete the loss investigations.
• Learn the seven stages of investigations outlined in the Manual of Investigative Operations and Guidelines (MIOG), this will be in your training.
• Learn and utilize the guidelines for properly conducting interviews during an investigation.
• Utilize the Asset Protection role in recognizing and investigating internal theft as well as external theft and then apprehend.
• Be able to assist with the functions of the Frontend in lowering loss of merchandise and increasing cashiers ability to stop scams and theft.
• Conduct a Monthly Safety and security meeting in our store to address any concerns or issues and put solutions in place.
• Hold regular training in the store on merchandise loss management and safety solutions.
• Conduct Monthly emergency exit inspections, quarterly sprinkler tests, fire extinguisher inspections and emergency lights checks.
• Teach and train merchandise protection application to associates.
• Check cash register longs/shorts for malicious behaviors and training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
