The Area Sales Manager (ASM) sells the BioZyme Family of Branded products by servicing existing dealer/distributor network and customer base. Industry leading BioZyme brands like VitaFerm, Gain Smart, DuraFerm, Backyard Boost and Vitalize give the sales manager a wide variety of species to sell into. The ASM will identify and cultivate new customers, partnering and grow opportunities, work associated trade shows and events in which your participation will help grow the business of the assigned territory.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Identifying and establishing an effective dealer network within the assigned market area. The customer base should include veterinarians, nutritionists, feed mills and producers, in addition to or on behalf of the local dealer.
  • Ensure sales diversification by hitting budgeted sales numbers in all 7 brands.
  • Regularly use the BioZyme BackOffice to assist with all territory decisions.
  • Identify and maintain contact with both customers and prospects at their place of business to sell BioZyme products, programs, and services. Overnight travel and weekend hours are required.
  • Develop quarterly and annual action plans with the sales management team that ensure the budget submitted is achieved at 10% growth.
  • Develop a target “key account list”. Progress on “key account list” should be documented in BackOffice and reviewed on a quarterly basis.
  • Update the customer card system in BackOffice on a real-time basis.
  • Consult or seek support to provide consulting with clients in the use of company’s products and services.
  • Ensure that company policies are followed in settlement of each customer’s account.
  • Attend all requested company sales and training meetings.
  • Recommend product changes and new product ideas.
  • Report competitive activities, which may affect company policy, sales, and marketing programs.
  • Submit a weekly call report by Monday the following week.
  • Provide timely follow-up on sales leads and communications from/to the corporate office.
  • Refer sales leads outside assigned territory to manager for further instruction.
  • Leverage social media platforms to further the BioZyme business in a professional manner.
  • Adherence to Company branding and marketing guidelines and provided materials – only.
  • Work with sales representatives of Key Accounts in order to further the BioZyme business in and through these accounts.
  • Manages time for most effective way to utilize it for accountable growth.
  • Know one’s culture index
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Participates in team huddles and CONNECTS
  • Notify management of any material issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Education - Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Required Work Experience - Minimum of two years related experience
  • Required Competencies:
    • Problem Solving Skills, Strong Communication Skills, Planning & Organizational Skills
    • Strong computer skills to assist in development and support of critical software tools which support product sales
    • Ability to travel and contribute to the Company on a fulltime basis
  • Preferred Competencies:
    • Working knowledge of farm operations and livestock (horse, cattle, pigs, sheep, goat, chickens)

    • Strong technical skills
    • Working knowledge of how to use social media platforms and leverage platforms to further the BioZyme business in a professional manner.
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, public speaking and technical writing.
    • Must be able to inspire with creativity and confidence in product line knowledge and conviction around product performance.
    • Must have demonstrated ability to develop and leverage collaborative relationships.
