Architectural Metal Fabricator

Position & Company Overview:

Castle Architectural Metals is a D.B.A. of Above All Store Fronts, which is a family-owned and operated construction business specializing in furnishing and installing fully engineered architectural exterior wall systems throughout New York and the Tri-state region. CAM has more than 100 years of combined experience in façade systems and employs over 200 employees, including an extensive custom fabrication facility, an estimating department, and a team of design engineers that utilize building information modeling (BIM) to coordinate the detailing and integration of complex wall cladding conditions across various exterior wall systems.

At Castle Architectural Metals an Architectural Metal Fabricator will fabricate from materials including 4mm ACM, ALUM Plate, Phenolics, Galvanized Metals, Acrylics and Wood, using hand tools such as Jigsaws, Circular Saws, drills, screw guns, sanding equipment and caulk guns and other machinery as needed. Castle Architectural Metals is looking for individuals who are hardworking and easily adaptable to different tasks to include:

Job Description:

· Various phases of Panel fabrication

· Loading and unloading trucks

· Operating machines as required

· Organizing materials and inventory

• Can maintain and manage Kanban Software Management.
• Can provide direct support and back up to our shipping and receiving line leader
• Previous experience in Warehouse shipping and receiving for Commercial Industries.
• Can execute and follow through with all loading and offloading of materials.
• Responsible to maintain/use all equipment in a proper and safe working manner. Including the use of all required safety equipment. (i.e., Hardhats, Glasses, vest’s, harnesses)

Must Have Skills & Abilities:

· Ability to use various hand and power tools. Drills, screw guns, jigsaws, circular saw, sanders, caulk guns, etc.

• Ability to lift to 100lbs & Stand over an extended period.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use a computer effectively to navigate Kanban Software.
• Ability to use and operate a forklift. (Training available)
• Ability to adhere to all Site Safety Requirements.

Optional Skills (Preferred but not required)

· Use CNC Routing Equipment

· Use of Brake Press/Folding Machine

· Use of Plate/Extrusion Rolling Equipment

· MIG & TIG Welding

· Driving capabilities – CDL not req’d.

Pay: Starting at $20.00 Hourly

Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shift-6am Start
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday with Occasional Saturdays (if needed)
• Overtime

Experience:

• Metal Fabrication: 1-2 years (Required)
• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
• Warehouse Shipping/Receiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Forklift Certification Preferred

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Patchogue, NY 11772: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
