The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking candidates to assist in the implementation of aquatic programs at multiple aquatic facilities, including the district’s two outdoor pools. The aquatic program support position may act as the person in charge by providing lead direction, support and training to staff in addition to ensuring the safe delivery of aquatic programming. This position will also provide lifeguarding, instruction, and coverage at the facility, as needed.

This is a great opportunity if you have previous work experience in aquatics and have an interest in diving into programming and a leadership position. Candidates must have experience and training equivalent to two years in aquatics and a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or equivalent. Additional Information:

  • The schedule for this position is flexible and availability must include evenings and weekends.
    • Raleigh Swim Center: Typically, scheduled Monday – Friday, approximately 40 hours per week; shifts may begin as early as 5:30 am and may include weekends.
    • Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center: Typically, Tuesday – Saturday, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm. The schedule may vary and will depend upon the needs of the center.
  • Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 months.
