JH Science / AYA Integrated 7-12Fayette Local School District is anticipating a JH Science Teacher along with a potential AYA Integrated Science Teaching Position. The position may include being a component of an established STEAM program as well. Teaching candidates must have or be eligible for a valid Ohio teaching license or certificate for the teaching assignment. This includes all background checks.

Candidates will meet highly qualified standards as defined by the State of Ohio. The candidate will demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities along with guiding the learning process toward the achievement of the curriculum goals established for the subject and grade level assigned to the teacher. The candidate will be able to establish and communicate clear learning objectives for lessons, units, and courses. The candidate will be able to implement instructional strategies to address the individual learning styles, needs, interests and abilities of all students.

Candidates will monitor and assess student progress on a regular basis. Additionally, the candidate will use multiple assessments to determine progress of students toward achieving the goals. The candidate will be able to modify and adjust instruction as needed to maximize achievement for all learners. The candidate must be able to effectively collaborate with special education staff and others to meet the needs of students.

The candidate must effectively create a classroom climate that is conducive to learning while maintaining a safe and secure environment that embodies trust and shared respect. Maintaining accurate records as required by law and district policy is expected along with completing and submitting reports on time. The candidate must be able to establish a variety of methods to communicate with parents or guardians, keep students and parents alike up-to-date and informed of student progress.
