The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), owned and operated by the Gallatin Airport Authority, is seeking a motivated individual for a full-time Airport Custodian position.

The Airport Custodian maintains premises of the airport in clean and orderly condition including but not limited to cleaning carpets, restrooms, windows, furniture, walls, and equipment. Duties also include trash removal, sweeping sidewalks and parking areas, snow removal from sidewalks in the winter, light grounds keeping in the summer, and other duties as may be assigned. Position involves standing and walking continuously and lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally. The airport operates 24/7 365 days per year and schedules may vary based on business needs. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Daily shifts may be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to successfully complete a 7-year Pre-employment Background Investigation, inclusive of motor vehicle record check, and the 10-year Criminal History Background Check (CHRC) necessary to obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances required to work at an airport
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the position
• Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work without supervision
• Prior background in and knowledge of custodial work preferred

Compensation

Starting pay rate of $21.50 per hour.
