Are you ready to flex your aircraft inspection expertise into a Lead position? This is your opportunity! As an Aircraft Inspector V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be using your skills and expertise to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer's specifications and government regulations. You'll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness and your inspection authority will include all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approval for return to service of all work.

Responsibilities:
Have a thorough understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
Comprehensive understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations
Process first article inspections and/or aircraft modifications
Present first article inspections as an FAA Designee for Conformity

Must-haves:
High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 15 or more years of relevant experience
A higher level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
Advanced experience with and knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts Comprehensive understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures
Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:
Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor and guide subordinates
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $42.66 - $58.65
