Job description
Aroostook Produce Dist Inc contracts with local chip stock growers, selling and delivering potatoes to a chip plant in Connecticut and a few chip plants in Pennsylvania.
APD has two sister companies: Miller Farms LLC, a seed potato farm and River View Transport LLC, a trucking company with two trucks. This position's tasks will over- lap between the three companies.
APD is a small office environment with a total of six people working there. APD is in need of a motivated employee that will take initiative, can work independently and likes to learn and grow in their job. There is potential for the position to become a full- time position if the succesfull candidate shows that level of interest and capability.
Job duties include: Account recievable, account payable, payroll, potato taxes, inventory, processing trip envelopes. Providing information to the growers when shipping, obtaining information from growers at harvest and planting seasons. Assisting in various projects as needed.
Knowledge of Excel is required. Confidentiality is required. Training will be provided for various industry specific related tasks.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.80 - $17.00 per hour
