Accounting Office Assistant
Piedmont Service Group is a privately held company that has been in business since 1971. We have approximately 275 employees working out of our offices across the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
Pay Rate: Depending on Experience

Position Summary:
As an Accounting Intern, this role will have the opportunity to learn and gain first-hand experience in Accounting department. These tasks will include but will not be limited to accounts payable processing, accounts receivable billing and cash receipts. performing research, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and other tasks assigned by the CFO or Controller, in accordance with the established accounting standards and billing policy. This position is a part-time position.
This position works together with the Business Systems Department, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, CFO, Controller to provide accounting support as needed.
Essential Position Functions:
Accounting
- Accounts Payable: Daily entry of Accounts Payable invoices.
- Accounts Receivable: Assist with daily customer invoicing and cash application.
- Job Shadowing: Shadow members of the Accounting Department as they perform their duties.
- Research: Assist with research of miscellaneous financial items.
- Assist: Accounting Team with various tasks.

- Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting computer software and accounting practices.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education and Training Requirements (licenses, programs or certificates)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently pursuing a college degree with a major or concentration in accounting
Experience and Knowledge Requirements
- Proficiency with computers
Experience with Data Entry
Physical Requirements
The position requires the candidate to have the ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs. in assistance of loading, unloading and storing materials and equipment. The position will also require bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, balancing, kneeling, twisting, standing and climbing stairs and ladders.
