Full Job Description

The Accounting Manager Will Focus on all daily and month-end accounting procedures, including P&L activity (management fees, gross-up entries, reclasses, etc.), balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals) in compliance with GAAP. Support finance partners in the implementation of valuation models, development of ongoing measurement, tracking performance versus expectations, and providing recommendations for corrective actions. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Accountant/ Finance leader to join an established and growing company.

I. Job Summary and Responsibilities:

· Participate in broad projects by providing technical accounting expertise to a larger group.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

· Document accounting process and internal controls

· Ensure adherence to accounting policies and provide supporting documentation for policy compliance

· SEC Reporting

· Participate in broad projects by providing technical accounting expertise to a larger group.

· Assist with year-end financial audit and annual bank audits

· Help coordinate SOX audit for the company

· Assist with board prep and audit committee reviews

· Provide training and coaching

· Ability to work and manage in a virtual environment where team members may be remotely located

II. Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA a plus.
• 5-8 years recent experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.
• Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information.
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners.
• Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, etc.
• Strong demonstrated use of Excel.

III. Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in finance or accounting.
• SEC reporting experience.
• Experience with financial planning software.
• Comfort with the cyclicality of the role and the peaks and valleys of the workload, particularly around the quarter-end close.

IV. Physical Requirements:

· The ability to sit for prolonged period and view computer screen.

V. Equipment/ Software Used:

• Microsoft Outlook, excel, power point, prime mover, business objects, Nordic, Ideas, Viewpoint Sequel, SAP Business Objects.

VI. Work Environment:

• Work is performed in an office environment.
