Accounting Analyst

Americo is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst. General Accounting functions include invoice processing, expense report processing, daily bank reconciliations (FPP) and use tax filings. Other duties include unclaimed property processing and annual filings, preparing estimated and annual premium and municipal tax returns.

Responsibilities:

  • Invoice processing, expense report processing, daily bank reconciliations (FPP), use tax filings.
  • Unclaimed property – process voids/reissues; research and prepare annual filings.
  • Budget/Spending support.
  • Prepare estimated/annual premium tax returns, prepare municipal returns.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of accounting concepts.
  • Understanding of general ledger systems and ability to research issues via queries.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic understanding of life insurance concepts.
  • Good interpersonal, research and accounting skills.

Education:

  • 4 year degree in accounting or related field is preferred, but not required.
