Accountant Staff - Full Time - Northwest Health Porter

The Staff Accountant should be a self-starting professional who supports the company with the preparation of journal entries, monthly close responsibilities, trend review, general ledger reconciliations, statistical reporting, and other special projects and periodically assigned duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:

• Bachelors in Accounting required

Certifications/Experience:

• Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience in accounting preferred. Prior hospital experience helpful.
• Knowledge & experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Docs

Perform comprehensive expense analysis, including accrual accounting for expected and anticipated expenses. Review of expenses posted to the general ledger for proper reporting, including Corporate and CHS intercompany invoices. Review and prepare contract labor reporting. Complete monthly close responsibilities, journal entries, trend review, and creation of monthly operating reports. Statistical reporting to Administration. Compilation and review of Cost Report for corporate reporting. Complete general ledger balance sheet reconciliations. Responsible for financial accounting of smaller entities associated with Porter.
