What you will do

You will support the roles of the Account Managers in delivering on key metrics and performance indicators to drive profitable business for the assigned OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) / OES (Original Equipment Supplier) customers regionally. This role actively supports and executes on tactical and administrative functions designated regional OEM and OES Account Managers. This role reports to the Customer Business Unit Director in our Milwaukee, WI headquarters.

How you will do it

  • Support the Account Manager’s role of development and maintenance of the customer-specific five-year strategic plan and 18-month Demand Plan for regional OEM / OES accounts to drive revenue, commercial margin, and unit volume growth.

  • Assist in managing Customer Business Unit Portfolio utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) to actively manage account, including 1) Opportunity Pipeline in support of the Strategic Plan, 2) Political Map to manage a “zippered” relationship structure between Clarios and the customer, 3) volume mapping of all customer vehicle programs and 4) monthly pipeline presentations to Customer Business Unit Director.

  • Support the Account Manager’s development of new opportunity quotes, building business cases for approval (including Customer Change Orders / Capital and Expense Requisitions) and subsequent commercial negotiations. Routinely interfaces directly with customer counterparts on opportunity scope.

  • Under the direction and oversight of the Account Managers, the Account Representative will also lead smaller scale accounts, serving in a customer facing role supporting new business opportunity development, customer issue follow up, and resolutions.

  • Interfaces with internal Account Team support functions (Engineering, Technical Account Management, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain) to ensure all customer facing activities meet/exceed customer expectations.

  • Partners with Account Managers and Finance, updating quarterly pricing and tracking Account Receivables and resolution as required.

  • Collaborates with regional manufacturing plants responsible for receiving and processing OE/OES order, prototypes, and special order.

  • Performs special assignments and analysis as directed by the business Director and Account Manager.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing or Finance

  • Minimum 2 years engineering, program management or technical account management role

  • Superior organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly grasp and interpret information pertinent to the growth of the organization

  • Self-motivated contributor with demonstrated ability to deliver results individually and through collaboration with others

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Ability to travel up to 5%, if needed by the business
