This is a Part Time, 0.5 FTE, Day/Evening position. This position will be teaching groups from 10:00 - 12:00pm on Tuesdays, 1:00 to 3:00pm on Thursdays, and 11:00am - 3:00pm on Fridays; with the remainder of the hours being scheduled around those times for set up, clean up, staff meetings, and charting.

Position Summary:
The Yoga Teacher is a member of a multidisciplinary team that uses their training and knowledge in yoga to plan and lead yoga groups for clients receiving eating disorder treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and leading yoga groups for clients with eating disorders in residential, intensive programming, and outpatient settings
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain timely documentation in compliance with The Emily Program policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and enhances knowledge of current yoga practice through self-study and CEU opportunities.
  • Maintain at all times the confidentiality of proprietary information, which includes but is not limited to, trade secrets, sensitive company information, and generally any company information not made available to the public.
  • Maintain at all times the confidentiality of former and current Emily Program clients’ protected health information, as directed by state and federal law, and Emily Program policy. Additionally, maintain confidentiality in any position with access to employee personal information.
  • Participate in monthly yoga teacher meetings
  • Participate in assigned meetings with manager
  • Attend annual training for yoga teachers
  • Complete all assigned mandatory trainings
  • Maintain an organized and clean environment for yoga practice
  • Maintain and manage yoga supplies for the site
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 200 RYT certification minimum required
  • Maintain certification through Yoga Alliance
  • 1 year of experience preferred
  • Additional training in trauma-sensitive or trauma-informed yoga preferred

Workplace Environment:

  • Standing 70-75% and Sitting 25-30%
  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping or crouching when appropriate
  • Lift, carry, push or pull up to approx. 40 pounds (supplies, etc.)

  • Holidays: Employees not working at a residential or inpatient facility are eligible for 7 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday
    • Non-exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility will receive premium pay at a rate of double time if they are scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
    • Employees hired on or after February 20, 2022, will receive premium pay at a rate of time and-a-half if scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
  • Exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility who are scheduled to work on a holiday may take the holiday on a different day during the same pay period. Additionally, non-exempt employees are eligible or various shift and weekend differentials.

Compensation Range:

$25.00 - $35.00/hr

Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for position.
