Description:

Assume responsibility for the assessment and treatment of all residents.

Assume responsibility for complete and effective communication.

Assume responsibility for appropriate utilization of department resources and demonstrate organizational skills to allow for accuracy and efficiency.

Assume responsibility and initiative for planning and time management.

Demonstrate effective leadership skills and professionalism.

Wound Care RN Experience/Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current licensure by the Georgia Board of Nursing required. Special certification in Wound care preferred.

Five (5) or more years clinical practice in nursing preferred. Minimum of three (3) years clinical practice required, with one (1) or more years in supervision or education preferred.

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent, and must maintain current certification while in position. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to perform the technical/clinical duties pertinent to the functioning of the department under minimal direction. Must be able to exercise appropriate and effective judgment and initiative in performance of duties. Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to work effectively in critical situations. Must possess the ability to learn basic computer skills.
