NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:The School Bus Monitor works collaboratively with the bus driver to provide safe transportation for all students.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Have the ability to relate to and work with school-age children.
Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
Ensure that the students have safe transportation to and from school.
Implement and maintain good student bus behavior and conduct.
Work closely with the Transportation Manager, Program Director and other bus monitors.
REQUIREMENTS:
The Bus Monitor should have experience working with historically underrepresented school-age children and their families. Must be able to board and exit the bus in the Boston area. Must have a high school diploma.
This position is 30 - 32 hours a week, 180 days (Sept. June)
