Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintains accurate records of inventory, equipment maintenance, and mandatory safety training.
• Develops and manages process for equipment maintenance and parts replacement.
• Develops and implements mandatory and recommended safety training related to warehouse work and equipment.
• Drafts and publishes safety protocols and procedures for operation of equipment.
• Schedules and performs or arranges for completion of required and recommended maintenance for all equipment.
• Maintains safety records, documenting all accidents, near-accidents, and violations of operating rules.
• Oversees safety equipment including eye-wash stations.
• Prepares and distributes an equipment replacement budget; collaborates with facility manager to identify priorities and desired upgrades.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of moving equipment used in the warehouse.
• Thorough understanding of procedures and policies used in the warehouse.
• Math and reading skills required to understand manuals and prepare reports or budgets.
• Basic knowledge of all applicable state and federal OSHA and other related laws and regulations concerning operators and maintenance, inspection, and operation of equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to prepare budgets and reports.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess certificates of operation required to meet state and OSHA regulations.
• At least five years of experience in warehouse operations and equipment required.
• At least two years of experience as foreman or team leader highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
