General Summary

Responsible for the control, coordination, assigning overall duties, policies and procedures within the Distribution Center, ensuring the distribution of all manufactured and purchased foodservice & retail products.

Essential Functions

• Serve as frontline leader for the warehouse employees.
• Drives forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe manner, adhering to Company, State, and Federal & OSHA regulations.

· Accurately control receiving, delivering, and transferring of materials in the plant by verifying Certificates of Analysis in COAPA, receiving via SAP to ensure all materials are receiving and posted, and offloading raw and packaging materials and stages materials per FIFO.

• Performs accurate measurements of silos.
• Coordinates and assists with Production Department to maintain good rotation and use of silos.
• Verifies rotation of raw and packaging materials according to FIFO.
• Assist production personnel with request of materials and distribute among the operators and line workers.
• Ensure a safe environment for all employees in the warehouse. (i.e. equipment safety checklist, etc.)
• Verify that GMP’s and Safety standards are maintained at all times, and take action and/or follow-up when deficiencies are noted.
• Assist in the control of all operational procedures. (Including tray tracking).
• When necessary, issue verbal or written warnings form violations.
• Evaluate performance of new hires at 30 and 90 days, as well as inputs on annual performance evaluations for his/her crew.
• Maintains qualification to operate all assigned equipment of the Warehouse (i.e., forklifts and electric pallet jacks.)
• Ensure proper rotation of all inventories of finished goods in the Warehouse.
• Coordinate the timely disposition of all daily shipments to fulfill all customer orders.
• Ensure that all departmental procedures are being followed, maintaining product safety, and providing total customer satisfaction as it pertains to the Warehouse.
• Maintain records of all transactions.
• Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment.
• Assist the supervisor in monitoring the compliance of the company policies by Warehouse employees.
• Fills in for Supervisor in his/her absence.
• Consistently apply company rules per employee handbook and per company policies (i.e. attendance, safety, etc.).
• Prints shift orders, when required.
• Must work various shifts and hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Recommend transfers and/or promotions of Warehouse employees to management.
• Complete the First Day Safety Orientation for New Hires and conduct monthly safety training meetings
• Ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard.
• Assist Supervisor in the scheduling of maintenance and repairs of all material handling equipment for departmental use.
• Participate in company events
• Verify and check orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Certifications:

Must be Forklift Certified

Skills and Abilities:

Basic Computer skills Required

Bilingual English/Spanish Required

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Experience:

1 year in Food industry preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.70 - $24.90 per hour
