Position Summary
As part of our Production team, the Warehouse/Production Staff in collaboration with the Administrative Operations Coordinator is responsible for performing manual, maintenance and administrative duties related to warehousing and other Production Bottling and Cellar operations in a physical, repetitive, fast-paced environment. Duties include daily responsibilities and accountability for effective and efficient warehouse shipping, receiving, related recordkeeping, forklift driving, maintenance of Warehouse and related equipment, productivity standards, safety, and brand image. This person helps ensure operations meet production and labor efficiency, quality control and safety goals. They are responsible for maintaining and improving warehousing productivity standards. This person also assists in the receipt of grapes during Harvest.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive forklift to receive and ship out orders to and from Warehouse 1 and 2, assist bottling line by providing pallets of glass and moving finished wine pallets to destined locations in the warehouse.
- Use warehousing software system to pick orders, move stock, receive product in, and other transactions related to Invoices, Transfers in Bond and Purchase Orders.
- Champion a safe and healthy work environment through eliminating hazards, always ensuring compliance with mandatory safety and Quality training programs.
- Complete cleaning tasks and maintenance of equipment pertaining to all Warehouse and dock areas in accordance to established logs and checklists frequencies.
- Drive Box truck to move product from Warehouse 1 and 2 within Winery Property.
- Perform and verify proper pallet stacking, wrapping, slip sheet application, pallet tag application and partial pallet tag/bright stock pallet tag application.
- Assist in recordkeeping and administrative duties in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
- Communicate effectively with multiple departments to ensure efficient workflow and to achieve company goals.
- Identify and act proactively on non-conforming equipment, process, packaging, quality, branding and safety issues. Ensure timely and successful resolution.
- Conduct periodically cased goods physical inventory using RFX slot book to balance and ensure accuracy of the cased goods. Assist with closing of Invoices when necessary.
- Prepare and complete the inventory receipt of packaging materials received into the Production Software system. Generate lot numbers and ensure that materials receive the appropriate lot identifier. Complete related purchase orders and deliver to accounting.
- Ensure adequate retail stage cased goods for retail stocking and sales.
- Assist in Coordinating receipt and placement of retail supplies.Ship, receive, inventory and stage materials, equipment and finished products as necessary. Promptly notify departments of receipt of shipments.
- Perform and assist in all levels of warehouse activities and equipment operation, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and floor cleaning equipment.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance and care of equipment to maximize equipment longevity.
- Always follow Warehouse SOP’s, assist in the review of them as necessary to reflect clarity and current practices. Assist with the development of new SOP’s for warehouse operations.
- Ensure timely shipping, receiving and inventorying of materials, supplies and cased goods.
- Perform related duties of a similar nature as may be required, including but not limited to cross training for bottling and cellar duties.
- Harvest - Shift during crush operations.Drive tractor and operate hydraulic dump trailer to dispose of pomace.
Operate forklift to unload grape bins and dump into crusher-stemmer.
Interface with transport company delivering grapes
Complete crush checklists, logs and labor sheets, etc.
Experience/Skills
- 5+ years warehousing experience.
- 4+ year’s manufacturing/production.
- Demonstrate ability to perform quality work, efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure with diverse personalities.
- Demonstrated reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- Experience with MS Office. iWork Suite and the ability to learn the company databases.
- Forklift certified.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Demonstrate ability to improve productivity while maintaining quality and safety.
- Demonstrate commitment to high standards.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently manage daily administrative paperwork.
- Demonstrate adherence to good safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to follow direction from a supervisor.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladder to work platforms 24 feet high.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, hair net, etc).
- Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules.
- During harvest must be able to work a shift, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work outdoors under variable weather conditions i.e., heat and humidity of a Central Florida summer.
- Exposure to loud noise and work near moving mechanical parts and forklift traffic.
Other Requirements
- 21 years of age.
- Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Demonstrated responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Fluent in English.
- Successfully complete background check.
- Must successfully complete OSHA safety training.
