Warehouse Associate

Location: Fletcher, OH 45326

Number of positions: 1

Start Date: ASAP

Hourly Rate: $16.50/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3pm (OT as needed, but rare)

Job Description:
The warehouse associate is responsible for manually moving freight, stock, or other materials (potentially hazardous) throughout the warehouse. This position also works on various projects and performs other general labor functions.

• Conducts daily safety check of forklift trucks.
• If in a receiving area, ensures that proper receiving procedures are followed. This includes verifying the condition of inbound freight and documenting any damage, shortages, or over-shipments.
• If in receiving area, ensures that all product received is promptly placed in designated locations and inventory tags completed where applicable.
• Picking, staging, and verifying of the product and quantities for outbound orders. Also, ensures orders are filled accurately.
• De-kitting, banding, wrapping, restacking, repackaging, and labeling of customer products.
• Scans labels to show receipt of inventory.
• Ensures aisles are kept clear.
• Ensures that safety standards are understood and being followed at all times.
• Notifies the Warehouse Manager of any problems with equipment, the building, or any suspicious activities.
• Maintains an ongoing consolidation of material and helps with inventory control operations.
• Ensures that the inside and outside areas of the warehouse are kept in a clean and organized manner.
• Data entry into company and customer systems.
• Maintains a clean working environment at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Desired Skills and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of recent forklift experience required.
• Previous RF/scanning/bar-coding experience preferred.
• Basic math and comprehension skills.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow all procedures relating to shipping and receiving forums.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Team oriented.
• Self-motivated.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary, based on needs/demands
