Job summary:
The warehouse associate’s duties are all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, distribution, and shipping of product in a safe and orderly fashion.
Essential Duties:
Warehouse
- Ensure effective and timely communication and service to internal staff
- Follow appropriate systems for cGMP/cGLP compliance and traceability of incoming goods in the warehouse
- Maintain inventory and order processes in appropriate systems, including part numbers with correct quantities, price and description
- Maintain organization of materials stored
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Associates responsible for quarantine to verify quality control for received items
- Assist with organization and maintenance of all storage facilities, off-site and on
- Adhere to company driver’s policy.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Comply with safety guidelines and policies.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by identifying, creating and maintaining safe protocols within a changing environment. (protect employees and visitors who work or enter the warehouse)
- Follow security protocols to safeguard warehouse operations.
Receiving
- Follow procedure for receiving and checking in supplies and other items
- Assist with order receipts, quarantine and inventory maintenance
- Verify quantity, description and condition of materials received against the packing list and/or PO
- Communicate with purchasing about any discrepancies between paperwork and materials received
- Greet and assist carriers/couriers as they arrive with materials on dock or at warehouse
- Assist with receiving and triage at dock and login
Distribution
- Pull orders received through the supply order process
- Deliver items to the appropriate area within the standard timeframe
- Accurately record all transactions to maintain inventory integrity
- Pull sales orders and transfer to shipping in a timely manner
- Maintain Kanban and Printer supplies throughout the entire facility
Shipping
- Assist with shipping duties as needed
- Regulatory Compliance
- Know and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.).
- Know and follow company policies and procedures
- Complete required training on time

Work Environment:
- Warehouse environment with some time in a laboratory environment.
- Wear lab coat, safety glasses and closed toe shoes when in laboratory environment.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, computer
- mouse, telephones, photocopiers, projectors and file cabinets.
- May occasionally work in temperatures above 95 degrees and below 32 degrees.
- May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
- Noise level in the work environment can occasionally be loud.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to move/traverse 70% of the day and remain in a stationary sitting/standing position at a desk while using a computer, keyboard, computer mouse and phone 30% of the day.
- Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or stand on feet for a long period of time and walk a substantial distance every day.
- This position occasionally moves or lifts items greater than 45lbs.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as lab coats, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, face masks, shoe coverings, and respiratory equipment as applicable.
- May occasionally climb stools, ladders or stairs to retrieve materials
- Can physically move pallets and other materials using material handling equipment and be willing to be forklift trained.
- Must be capable of operating material handling equipment applicable to location i.e. hand truck, pallet jack and other equipment used to transport items.
Education and experience requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Shipping experience preferred, but not required. Forklift training and experience preferred.
