POSITION SUMMARY

The position is responsible for the distribution and issuing of all uniforms, as well as the alterations, pressing, inspection of returns of uniforms, and receiving and inventories of all uniforms.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.

Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:

a. Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine.

b. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures.

c. Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to provide superior guest service and increase Net Promoter Score.

d. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.

2. Distributes and tracks the issuances, returns, and discarding of the uniforms as directed by the practices and policies of the Human Resources department. Processes employee requests for uniforms and ensures proper fit.

3. Responsible for coordinating dry cleaning uniforms to and from the cleaner.

4. Completes accurate inventory of all uniforms.

5. Responsible for keeping the uniform shop organized and orderly, including having the uniforms on hangers organized by size or folded neatly on the shelves. Responsible for ensuring the shop is organized within safety guidelines, including clear walkways and boxes stored at appropriate heights.

6. Ensures safety and security of guests and employees by bringing any safety issues to the attention of management.

7. Responsible for maintaining stock up to par levels and placing corresponding uniform orders.

8. Provides uniform alterations as needed, as well as fitting employees for maternity uniforms when needed. Irons, steams, and repairs uniforms as needed.

9. Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.

10. Ensures safety and security of guests and employees by bringing any safety issues to the attention of management.

11. Other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (performed infrequently)

Performs clerical work in Human Resources as needed. Take pictures of employees for badging

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The position is responsible to the Human Resources Manager for successful performance of assigned duties.

EQUIPMENT/PHYSICAL SKILLS

Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Sewing machine, serger, and other related tools
  • Chalk, razors, scissors, needles, thread, and other altering equipment
  • Iron, steamer, and ironing board
  • Telephone / fax machine / copier
  • Computer and printer
  • Step stool
  • Hangers

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical demands associated with the position including, but not limited to, the following:

§ Sitting – 50%

§ Walking / Standing – 50%

§ Bending / lifting / carrying - (up to 35lbs. without assistance)

§ Folding / hanging garments on racks frequently

§ Reaching above shoulder, at waist, and below waist level frequently

§ Fine motor skills, gripping, holding, and grasping objects; threading needles and sewing by hand frequently

§ Ability to climb step stool to retrieve uniforms or boxes frequently

§ Repetitive use of keyboard

Casino environment exposed to various temperatures, smoke, dust and fumes, bright lights, and excessive noise levels. May include boat and/or floating barge. High rise hotel and atrium.

ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

1. Ability to read, write, and understand instructions.

2. Knowledge of how to use a sewing machine, serger, hem pants, and make other alterations.

3. Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office.

4. Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to Human Resources information

5. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and upper management.

6. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Experience in sewing and tailoring. Ability to obtain and hold a Louisiana Responsible Vendor's card. Completes all Company-required training within designated time frames. Ability to obtain any and all licenses, certifications, insurance coverage or any other indemnifications which may be required by the company for the successful completion of the duties associated with this position.
