Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced VTC Design Engineer and Administrator with a DISC Secret Clearance to support KMS and our government customer in Huntsville, AL. We currently offer a $5,000.00 bonus for this position.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for evaluating, designing, documenting, installing, implementing, testing, maintaining, operating, removing, upgrading, and modifying video teleconferencing equipment systems.
  • Gather baseline requirements and developing courses of actions (COAs) to design a modernization plan, to include the decommission of antiquated devices, appliances, and systems.
  • Develop the rough order of magnitude and Bill of Materials (BOM) for the accepted design solution.
  • Provide documentation for the replacement, decommissioning, and scaling of TVC suites on site and outlying areas.
  • Experienced with WEBEX, CISCO Meeting Server, VQ Conference Manager, Cisco Unified Communication Manager, Multi-point Control Units (MCUs) and Codex units and evolving technology.
  • Familiar with AR-25-1 as well as Risk Management Framework Process.
  • Responsible for establishing, securing, and maintaining communications during operations to include resource management of cryptographic assets. Responsible for troubleshooting outages, issue resolution, workarounds, root cause analysis and guiding break fix effort to ensuring critical deliverable of communication services.
  • Familiar with both NIPRnet and SIPRnet protocols, switching, routing and interfaces with third party service providers.
  • Coordinates with internal and external partners to determine equipment requirements and submits necessary frequency and satellite radios; participates in hotwashes and after-action reviews.
  • Train, advice, and assist mission; maintains and troubleshoots support systems and terminal devices, to include radio, wire, and battlefield automated systems; provides technical assistance and unit level training on user owned and operated communication equipment.
  • Provide leadership and strategic planning based on industry trends and best practices.
  • Build and manage relationships with unit’s vendors and service providers.
  • Develops and maintains strategy materials for constant availability to Management and Regulators.
  • Ensure the alignment of messages and distributed content with the overarching strategy communications plan.
  • Supports the organization’s internal and external communications strategy promoting units overarching vision.
  • Documents and maintains redlined Configurations Vision Schematics, Standard Operational Procedures, Desk side References, lifecycle/maintenance management of equipment, prioritization schedules of antiquated equipment.
  • Schedules maintenance windows to support and sustain cyber security mission related activities.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor of Science in Audio Video and Voice Engineering and Design or 60 months equivalent design experience.
  • Certification: CCNP certification and Security + REQUIRED

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
