POSITION SUMMARY

Horse Help LLC is looking for a talented and creative Videographer/Video Editor with an Equine background to join us on our ranch in Poplarville, MS for 6 months and document our Horse Help Train-Off Competition from May 27th until December 2nd, 2023. As a Videographer/Editor, you will be responsible for capturing and producing high-quality video content that aligns with our brand and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and experience in creating engaging video content. This position is part-time and requires only a few hours a day, with opportunities for advancing your own horsemanship skills in the off hours.

Initially we are hiring for this role on a contract basis for the competition, however, there is a possibility of being hired on permanently after the competition ends December 2nd, 2023.

Position is paid via Weekly stipend and housing is provided. There is also an opportunity to earn more through a Commission paid referral program. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Collaborate with team to develop video content that aligns with our client’s brand and marketing objectives
  • Primarily candidate will be filming and editing our Horse Help Train-Off Competition, will consist of competition highlights, staged shots, interviews, and mic ups.
  • Operate camera and other production equipment, including lighting and sound
  • Edit and post-produce video content, including color correction, audio mixing, and adding motion graphics and visual effects
  • Ensure all video content is high-quality and consistent with brand guidelines

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency in camera operation, lighting, and sound recording
  • Proficiency in a video editing software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A portfolio that showcases your work as a videographer
  • Passionate about helping people and horses is a must

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in videography
  • 2+ years of experience in video editing
  • College Degree in related field preferred
  • Equine Experience Required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be comfortable with being outside in all elements of weather. It will be hot and humid in Mississippi.
  • Must be able to get around outside well (even ride horses) to capture footage from the round pen, arena, bunkhouse, and even out on trail rides.
