Job description

Video editing -

Understanding of storytelling through the medium of video. A sense of timing when editing sequences. Setting up projects with multiple camera angles and audio tracks. Basic motion graphics skills. An understanding of color grading and audio mixing.

Photo editing -

Knowing what makes a good photo - Composition, color grading, attention to detail. Batch runs of photos that need to look unified. Photo manipulation - mostly removing backgrounds and minor tweaks to the image.

software proficiency in order of importance -

Adobe Premiere

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Lightroom

Filming and Photography -

Understanding DSLR cameras. We use Canon but other brands of DSLR experience are fine too. Film - Capturing b-roll, set up for interviews, live audio recording. Photo - Studio set up/ lightboxes, adjusting to different light situations, product shots, action shots, portraits.

Another easily overlooked skill - interaction with clients. Looking for good communication skills and the ability to make the talent comfortable.

Other Skills -

Good team communication. Adapting to different filming environments including live events. Punctuality. Being able to work independently at times. Good creative eye as well as good technical skills of hardware and software.
