Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Establish strategy for designing and implementing clinical initiatives for the Insurance segment (MA business)
- Oversee clinical initiative design and implementation including end-to-end leadership from concept testing, feature determination, early-stage feasibility and engagement testing, path to scale supporting 1) member-facing clinical programs, 2) provider-facing clinical programs, 3) experience integration, 4) interoperability initiatives
- Prioritize development, adoption, and scaling of key capabilities required to improve member experience and enhance impact of clinical initiatives
- Design and launch novel systems and processes to enable data exchange between key parties, working with Clinical Analytics and Clinical Informatics teams
- Oversee product co-development with external vendors; proactively source key partners and investment opportunities
- Advise on Humana’s investment decisions in digital health, care coordination, and other clinical domains; partner with Corporate Development and Vendor Management to establish sound clinical leading indicators and appropriate study designs
- Oversee team of ~25 with varying backgrounds – clinical, product, strategy, and more
- Make decisions on deployment of product innovation budget, in partnership with Trend Stewardship
- Opportunity to expand to CenterWell over time depending on enterprise priorities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience leading at least 1 clinical initiative from concept development phase, to pilot phase, to scale
- Demonstrated managerial experience overseeing other people leaders
- Demonstrate an ability to drive an initiative through to completion in a matrixed environment
- Ability to lead and direct teams with varied expertise – user experience, product design, market research, and technical product development teams / technologists
- Deep understanding and thought leadership in product management and / or digital health trends
- Experience working directly for or with a provider that serves MA or Medicaid members, preferably in value-based context
- Track record of financial value delivery of $50 million or more in cross-functional / matrixed environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to build relationships with Executive Mgmt and outside parties
