Accumulus Synergy is a one-of-a-kind non-profit with the mission of modernizing and accelerating the pathway for bringing new therapeutics to patients around the globe. Founded in 2020 by an industry consortium of leading pharmaceutical companies, Accumulus Synergy is developing a SaaS platform that will radically transform how industry and health authorities work together to bring forth safe, effective treatments to more people, faster.

Job Description

Accumulus is seeking a VP of Product to take responsibility for the Accumulus platform's product roadmap and spearhead our adoption of best practices for SaaS product management. This is a roll-up your sleeves role wherein you will partner with the CTO to develop the organizational structure, staff, processes and metrics for managing Accumulus' product through its successful launch and expansion. You will interface directly with our sponsors, customers in industry, health authorities and Accumulus' own subject matter experts to build a compelling roadmap with a prioritized feature backlog, complete with product designs and user stories that are actionable for our technology teams. Simultaneously, you'll collaborate with our commercialization and regulatory relations teams to develop and execute our go-to-market strategy, and support successful engagements and relations with our lighthouse customers. Last, but not least, we'll look to you as a key member of our growing management team in defining Accumulus' own organizational identity and culture as we move forward with our mission and vision.

Responsibilities

• Champion and deploy an agile product management approach for Accumulus. Deploy processes, technology and talent to support the rapid development of our SaaS platform and the scale up of our organization.
• Develop and own Accumulus' product roadmap. Liaise with our customers, health authorities and subject matter experts to drive out use cases, prioritizing them with respect to their business value and alignment to Accumulus' product vision.
• Lead outsourced product design resources to produce a high-quality user experience for the Accumulus product, and actionable UI designs for our development teams.
• Take on a Product Owner role within our agile development teams, partnering with technical leads and delivery managers to populate, groom and execute on team backlogs.
• Manage the release process for new features. Partner with our Commercial team(s) to develop go-to-market messaging, self-help content and reference materials that will ensure a delightful user experience.
• Support the CTO in identifying and evaluating technology services & vendors for Accumulus: cloud infrastructure & development partners, managed service providers, and software solutions.
• Support commercialization and finance to develop pricing models and packaging approaches that will move Accumulus towards financial self-sustainability.
• Support our regulatory and customer relations teams with key product knowledge to produce a delightful customer experience, influence the direction of regulatory policy and ensure adoption of the Accumulus platform by regulators.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software product management with the last 3 in a product leadership role for a successful, financially viable SaaS software product.
• Strong Experience recruiting and managing a team of skilled product managers and UI/UX designers.
• Deep understanding of and experience with agile product management & tools: user stories, jobs to be done frameworks, JIRA, Product Board, etc. You've served in these teams before as a Product Owner.
• Experience deploying and reporting from product analytics tools such as Heap and Google Analytics.
• Experience partnering with and managing outsourced talent for product design.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adhere to sensitive communications with government health authorities, our sponsor executives & advisors, and the Accumulus board.
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with a willingness to stretch yourself outside typical role boundaries. We are a non-profit just getting started and will hire & scale judiciously.
• A passion for the Accumulus mission: bringing therapeutics to patients faster!
• Big differentiators:
  • Past experience with regulatory submissions, information standards and document management in pharma or medical devices and/or developing software products for these purposes.
  • Past experience managing software products for regulated industries with formal accreditation requirements such as FedRAMP, SOC-II, etc.
