Job description

Small animal veterinary hospital is looking for a positive, outgoing individual to join our team as a part time customer service specialist/receptionist.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

-answering telephones

-greeting clients

-explaining payment options and processing financial transactions

-preparation and maintenance of medical records

-client communication/education in animal care

-cleaning up after pets

-filing

-scheduling appointments

The qualified candidate will be outgoing and personable, have excellent communication skills (including written and oral), have excellent grammar and writing/typing skills, speak professionally, be able to multitask calmly, be a team player, and be detail oriented. Exceptional phone skills are a must! Previous customer service experience preferred; previous veterinary experience preferred.

This position does include evening and weekend hours. Position hours will be Mondays 3pm-7pm, Wednesdays 2pm-6pm, Thursdays 3pm-7pm, and every other Saturday 8am-12pm.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
