How you will contribute:

The VDC Manager is responsible for leading a team in completing construction drawings for the installation of new facilities and maintenance of departmental maps and records. This role is responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed design drawings, schematics or specifications typically using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software or other drafting techniques to perform scaling, dimensioning, or line locating according to standard industry procedures. Other job duties will include but are not limited to developing and maintaining engineering/design standards, policies and procedures, providing technical leadership of the design function, including CAD, management of electronic and conventional document files, training and interpretation of external codes, regulations and specifications. The Design Manager will schedule the work of the design team and is also responsible for Quality Control of design team outputs.


What you need to qualify:

An Associate’s degree in a related field is required, along with a minimum of four years of prior relevant experience and two years in a supervisory role in a construction environment are preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Prior management experience is preferred, including coaching and developing others, planning and organizing, innovation and conflict management is preferred.
