Vascular Access Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer
Job description
Quality assurance with policy and procedure updates, education planning and implementation regarding updated INS guidelines, infection prevention activities.
This job includes chart review for completeness, accuracy, and compliance of standards to ensure documentation accurately reflects and supports services provided. Will summarize quality assurance findings for review by management and make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures.
The Quality Assurance Nurse must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, and patients, as well as internal and external staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and track quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure quality care for patients
- Provide technical guidance to other staff in identifying and resolving issues or errors that do not conform to patient care standards, accuracy of documentation, procedures, and requirements
- Identify training needs based on quality assurance findings, prepare training materials and classes for field staff CE’s. Conduct training to staff to improve compliance and performance improvement activities
- Assist management in a variety of projects as well as other duties as assigned
- Report regularly to CNO/ACNO and territory managers as necessary to update them on their teams
- Work in Memphis office
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse License
- Experience as a Registered Nurse, including 3 years of patient care in an acute care setting.
- Experience in process improvement in a clinical setting
- Experience in Vascular Access
- Obtain Vascular Access Board Certification within 3 years of starting with the company
Preferred Qualifications
- Vascular Access Board Certification
- Certified Registered Nurse Infusion Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
