Value Stream Facilitator - 2nd Shift
Job description
The 2nd Shift Value Stream Facilitator is responsible for all production operations in your value stream area, including efficient production, employee relations and management, and financial performance. You will report to the Business Unit Manager, onsite in Lawrenceburg, TN location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Educates and enforces all safety rules and regulations designed to create a safe working environment.
- Direct work force and assignment of jobs to best use labor and to meet production requirements.
- Develop harmonious working relationships within and outside the department.
- Administer work rules (handbook) in handling employment issues and discipline procedures.
- Monitor workforce to remove obstacles and ensure performance at desired levels.
- Ensure entire production team is trained, resourced, supplied and managed to be successful.
- Implement lean tools (5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis) and procedures within Value Stream focus area to minimize process variation.
- Complete Standard Work and support development of work instructions for operations processes.
- Identify improvement opportunities to attain results and process enhancements.
- Accomplish data mining and evaluation relevant to quality process enhancement related to Value Stream metrics.
- Holds frequent meetings with primary team and employees working in the value stream to ensure short- and long-term goals are achieved.
- Building a daily emphasis on measurable continuous improvement and lean operations.
- Creates a work environment where employees are energized, excited and motivated to improve value stream processes, exceed our customer expectations and accomplish both personal and team goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and within group settings.
- Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Lean tools.
- Facilitation/coaching skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills are necessary.
- Disciplined worker with efficient business practices.
- Self-confidence and professionalism to interact at all levels of our Company.
- PC literate and proficient in MS products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proven analytical skills in a business environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree engineering, business, operations, or other appropriate field of study is preferred; 3+ years of experience will be considered.
TRAVEL:
Less than 10% travel is required.
