Job description
This position is for a Utility Laborer who can commute to serve the Waco, TX and Bryan, TX ready-mix and asphalt area plants.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous equipment maintenance & operation preferred.
3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, and acceptable driving record is preferred.
4. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Abel to operate different types of equipment is a preferred.
2. Be able to work safely and follow all company policies.
3. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
4. Need positive attitude and the ability to work well with others and follow directions.
5. Must be willing to work overtime as directed, and able to work extended hours if needed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Operate a skid steer and perform general clean-up to maintain ponds and grounds to ensure environmental and housekeeping standards are met
2. Help with plant maintenance and other general laborer duties to ensure the plant runs smoothly.
3. Use of hand tools and water to clean areas that the equipment is unable to reach
4. Operators shall have the ability to conduct daily equipment inspections to identify.
5. Timely and regular attendance is essential.
6. Perform other duties as instructed.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

1. Extensive walking on uneven surfaces.
2. Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
3. Exposure to dust, fumes, odors.
4. Hand eye coordination.
5. Exposure to mists, adhesives, acids.
6. Frequent and/or extended periods requiring kneeling, bending, and/or twisting.
7. Operating equipment at night under artificial lighting.
8. Working in all weather conditions for extended period of time.
