About the Team:

Join the Financial Services Compliance team to be a key leader in the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) team for the world's largest retailer. The Senior Manager I, Specialty Compliance and Ethics role is critical to ensure that Walmart satisfies its Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/AML regulatory filings. Help build a first-class AML Financial Intelligence Unit and mitigate financial risk by providing quality assurance oversight of cases and Suspicious Activity Reports.

About the Position:

The Senior Manager I Specialty Compliance and Ethics, SAR Governance and QA role will conduct quality assurance of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) investigation documentation (for example, Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)) by using industry expertise to conduct comprehensive assessments, writing reports of audit findings with recommendations, and interpreting patterns and providing feedback.

Responsibilities include:

• Quality Assurance for multiple workstreams
• Ensuring consistency within procedure and policy
• Creating and delivering training content

You'll make an impact by:

• Identifying and deliver training by, identifying training gaps and needs and escalating to leadership; providing consulting and regulatory guidance on Anti-Money Laundering (AML); facilitate working training sessions between internal and external quality assurance groups.
• Monitoring trends and communicating them to leadership; monitoring and reviewing consumer block list; and identifying SARs that need to be referred to law enforcement and sending them to leadership for approval.
• Using industry expertise to conduct comprehensive assessments by, synthesizing risk information (for example, likelihood, vulnerability, risk impact) to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of Anti-Money Laundering processes and procedures; translating AML data into business decisions; using influence to guide senior leadership decision-making toward strategic approaches for risk response; and participating in continuing education and training to increase knowledge of industry changes and developments.
• Developing best practices and procedures that will mitigate corporate risk.

• You have your Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification
• You have SAR investigative (writing and filing) experience
• You're driven to execute and to act quickly
• You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders
• You have experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment
• Bilingual (Spanish) -preferred

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 3 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 5 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 1 years' supervisory experience. 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
