Math/Reading Tutors needed for K-5

Tutor Doctor Lakeway is looking for energetic, positive individuals to work as Instructors (Tutors) one-on-one with families in the Lakeway, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, and Spicewood areas.

We are urgently seeking tutors that can tutor ELAR/Math for students K-5, IN PERSON.

We are experiencing a high demand for tutors who can work with elementary students that are struggling with reading, phonics, comprehension, and math concepts due to 1-2 years of virtual school caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tutoring sessions may happen in the student’s home, or on site at FUSE, a shared workspace (located at 14425 Falcon Head Blvd, Building E, Austin, Tx 78738).

Tutors must have:

· A minimum of an Associate’s degree. Teaching/tutoring experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.· Reliable transportation.· Good assessment skills and be able to change strategies if they are proving ineffective or the student prefers another learning style. · Availability after school on weekdays, weekends, holiday breaks or during the summer months. · Incredible enthusiasm and patience when working with young children.

Experience with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia is not required, but a big plus. Tutors must be willing to undergo a background check.

Pay is $20-25/hour
