JOB SUMMARY:
Is responsible to provide the patient with a quality ultrasound procedure and diagnostic evaluation, for all age groups from neonate to geriatric, under the direction of the radiologist. Expected to abide by the established hospital and departmental policies and procedures with minimal supervision. Collaborates with other healthcare professional in and out of the hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience) ultrasound technology program and 1 year ultrasonography experience.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):

• BLS Required
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Within 6 months

Additional Qualification Information:

• Licenses/Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), and Vascular certification must be obtained within one year. Must maintain current BLS certification.
