Under the supervision of Manager, Transmission, the Transmission Department Aide provides support to the Transmission team. The Transmission Department Aide is responsible for assisting with Transmission Operations documentation and records and various other duties as assigned. In return, the Transmission Department Aide will receive hands-on exposure to operation of a water transmission & distribution system.

• Create draft standard operating procedures based on input from Transmission Department Staff
• Enter transmission work order data accurately into SAP (asset management software)
• Assist with file management in Sharepoint.
• Create electronic process for water quality data capture.
• Support Transmission Valve Exercising program (including some field work).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read maps and understand basic hydraulics
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office software including Power BI
• Ability to keep records and make reports.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform manual physical labor that may include long periods of standing, bending, twisting, stooping and climbing.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Enrolled as a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school for the upcoming fall.
• Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
