Job description
As a Training Coordinator, you will design and implement training for all new employees and provide training to existing staff using the global learning and development vision. This position is located onsite in our Wallingford, CT. facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Area Supervisors, Department head, and production employees to assess where the training available does not meet the needs of staff
- Design and implement all department specific training for new employees to the department including safety and quality requirements
- Create Job Instructions for use in mentor program or area training programs
- Lead general plant training – glass handling, soldering (department specific), safety, quality, and others as needed
- Works with Area Trainers to ensure training is consistent and documented
- Maintain all department training records
- Conducts area specific training, certification, or recertification if needed
- Works with Global Learning and Development team and functional reporting to Global Learning and Development Manager
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with training records, performing training coordination/training specialist activities
- Prior experience developing and leading in-person training courses in a variety of topics, mostly related to industrial production and industrial safety
• Prior experience maintaining industrial records (tracking records or certifications for employees) • Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English. • Strong verbal/written skills • Strong customer service (internal and external) skills
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Production/Operations, Management, or related field. Additional related experience may substitute for the degree as appropriate.
