Chef Robotics's goal is to put a robot in every commercial kitchen around the world. We are solving the number one problem the food industry faces--a crushing labor shortage--and we’re catching extremely fast customer traction. Our team consists of senior/staff engineers from companies like Cruise, Google, Tesla, Nuro, Neuralink, Facebook, Kitty Hawk, and Zoox. We’re backed by investors like Kleiner Perkins, have already signed multi-year 8-figure deals with food companies in a multi-trillion-dollar market, and are playing in an extremely constrained problem-space and in a substantially less regulated industry than autonomous vehicles.
Chef has taken a unique approach to food automation by 1) targeting b2b businesses vs a b2c restaurant, 2) choosing a customer segment where there's a real problem that robots can help with, and 3) building a solution that is sufficiently constrained and yet flexible.
