CAU helps build and maintain relationships between alumni, faculty, and adult participants while offering unparalleled access to research, scholarship, and instruction at Cornell University.

The head hospitality coordinator (HCC) supports the summer program by assisting with the preparation, detailed planning, daily logistics, and staff coordination of Cornell’s Adult University (CAU) Summer program. The HHC oversees hospitality services for CAU guests, visitors, and faculty. The HHC works closely with the summer staff to make sure the reception of guests, provision of food and drinks, and other customer service requirements meet or exceed program expectations. The HHC will assist with the development of welcome materials, purchasing and distributing supplies, and coordination of extracurricular activities. The HHC also assists in monitoring participant attendance at events, providing transportation services when needed, and assisting the CAU staff with the execution of all planned events.

Position dates: June 1– July 31, 2023. Up to 39 hours per week. Must work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, Sunday evenings, weekdays, and occasional weekday evenings.


Required Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Event planning experience.


MUST BE 18 years or older. MUST HAVE A DRIVER’S LICENSE AND HAVE RISK MANAGEMENT APPROVAL TO DRIVE FLEET VEHICLES.
