Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Temporary Development Assistant for an amazing organization that supports refugees and deportees between the US and Mexico. This is an exciting full-time, 6-month contract role located onsite in San Ysidro, CA.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will oversee the growth of organizational fundraising and relationship building.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform excellent relationship management with business and funding communities.
• Manage and maintain all database information using the donor database platform.
• Ensure all income (online donations, checks, bank transfers, stock donations) are accurately recorded and donors are appropriately recognized.
• Create strategic fundraising plans and foster stewardship with donors and businesses.
• Grow funding streams including planned giving, major gifts, and gifts of stock.
• Manage fundraising logistics and lists.
• Track monthly progress towards fundraising goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual Spanish REQUIRED
• 1-2 years of fundraising experience within a nonprofit organization
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite functions
• 1-2 years of CRM/Fundraising software programs

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
