Position: Technical Writer / Documentation

Location: Austin, TX (Remote)

Skills: Oracle, PL/SQL, Technical Documentation, Data Dictionary, WCAG, MS Office, Workflow creations, Training, Technical Communication.

Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for Application Teams. Understands the user’s view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence. Provides expertise on technical concepts of applications and /or user groups and structuring procedures in a logical sequence, due to a broad understanding of the applications. Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document.

4 Required Experience working with relational database management systems and Oracle PL/SQL.
4 Required Experience providing technical documentation for the purpose of designing a Data Dictionary.
4 Required Experience organizing and formatting technical documentation.
4 Required Experience creating documentation that meets the standards set with the WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 .
4 Required Skills with Microsoft Office tools- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
4 Required Experience creating workflows for the purpose of technical documentation.
1 Preferred Preferred experience reviewing existing technical documentation and providing recommendations for improvements.
1 Preferred Preferred experience providing training on all process documentation.
1 Preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
1 Preferred Ability to communicate in a technical environment.

Job Type: Contract

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
