Job description
The technical writer provides daily support to the Office of Information & Technology Services. From User Manuals to Quick Reference Guides (QRG), this resource is solely responsible editing, proofing, and formatting hundreds of training and support documents using Microsoft Office products as well as Adobe InDesign. The technical writer will collaborate with subject matter experts as well as application administrators to continuously improve the technical writing request and delivery processes.

- Provide documentation support for the Office of Information & Technology Services.
- Develop and format documents.
- Proofread and edit materials.
- Work with stakeholders to continuously improve documentation processes.
- Manage the ITS OnBase documentation repository and ensure documents are reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
- Research and recommend documentation tools.
- Track and report documentation metrics.
- Assist with training materials transition services to the Learning Management System.
- Ability to present complex ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly manner.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching/motivational skills, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
- Advanced problem-solving, logic, and conflict resolution skills
- Advanced time management skills.
- In-depth hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft product Suite, particularly Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe InDesign.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Advanced understanding of court processes and concepts is a plus.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint and OnBase a plus.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a Master’s in a related field
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 2+ years of technical writing

Working Conditions
Use of Microsoft Office Suite (365). Standard workday 08:00 – 17:00 M-F. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components. Remote workplan option available but in-office presence required.
