Richard Heath & Associates, Inc. (RHA) is currently hiring for the following:
Technical Specialist,
Residential Energy Retrofits
Can be done remote but must reside in California
RHA’s Technical Specialist is a member of the technical services group, a highly collaborative and cross-functional team of technical staff, policy experts, trainers and project managers. The team provides research, codes and standards development and energy engineering in service of both internally managed programs and as a technical liaison for RHA’s varied program teams in energy efficiency, building decarbonization, and renewables/storage programs.
Specific activities may include:
- Research new technologies, energy and building code requirements
- Assist in the research, and authoring of installation standards and policies for energy efficiency and fuel switching measures
- Perform engineering analysis of complex energy efficiency measures based on first principles, empirical data or prior research
- Assist in the design, management and reporting on pilot studies and new programs
- Collaborate with technical services team in applying research to new technologies
- Develop and deliver training to RHA staff or clients in the application of energy and decarbonization residential retrofits.

Minimum Qualifications
:
- Bachelors in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Sciences or other relevant degree or commensurate experience (4 years)
- Must have minimum of two years of experience in the energy efficiency field
- Proven ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
- Good knowledge of business and computer software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Pay Range:
$75,000 - $85,000 per year
