We are seeking a Technical Sales Associate (TSA) to help support the sales team and our partners by delivering clear and timely technical information required to build rooftop solar projects with PanelClaw hardware. The ideal candidate will have a technical education and/or experience and be comfortable with basic mechanical/structural concepts that relate to rooftop solar projects. The TSA will be an integral part of sales team and our customers’ experience with PanelClaw but will not have individual sales targets or direct account responsibility.

What You'll Do
- Share project specific drawings, calculations and quotes with existing partners
- Provide technical recommendations and feedback for project optimization
- Distill complex technical issues for our partners and ensure projects move forward with our solution
- Provide directional estimates for projects which are pre-design
- Become advanced user of PanelClaw’s design engine – clawOS – to accelerate bid cycle and improve quality
- Become a proficient user of our module database and be able to provide guidance on module compatibility
- Develop basic understanding of commercial roof construction types and common roof membranes in order to facilitate project documentation
- Maintain a thorough technical knowledge of the company’s products and pricing
- Gather knowledge about competitors, market behavior and competitive trends
- Attend trade shows and meetings as required - travel expectation is 10%
- Regularly communicate with several departments at the company – primarily Outside Sales, Account Services, Field Services, Technical Design and Applications Engineering
- Participate in weekly sales meetings reporting progress on goals, and status of projects
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills preferred
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Attention to detail
- Customer focused, excellent listening skills and the ability to clarify questions
Where You'll Be Located
This position is remote, in the United States, with preference given to candidates on the East Coast.
What We'll Offer
We offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, education and location. We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $60,000 and $70,000 annually, if located in the Boston market. In addition to base salary, Esdec Solar Group employees are eligible for either an annual bonus or commission, depending on their position. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates, we hope you'll still apply as there may be other positions that better align.
