The Ashburnham Westminster Regional School District is seeking a special education team chairperson.Essential job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to to the following: Coordinate and manage aspects of the AWRSD Special Education Programs and Special Education and Related services for students at the secondary level, grades 9-12 and the Transition Program (age 18-22). Manage the consent and evaluation process for initial evaluations and reevaluations.Chair eligibility determination team meetings, meetings to review outside / independent evaluation reports and assist Special Education teachers / liaisons with meetings as requested.Consult and case conference with special education teachers, general education teachers, related service providers and administrators regarding individual student needs.Facilitate the Chapter 688 referral process and application through the EOHHS Virtual Gateway and/or general referrals to adult service agencies.Responsible for collaborating and communicating with outside agencies, community entities, and adult services.Assists with the collection and analysis of data related to post-secondary outcomes and compliance indicators to DESE state performance plan.Participate in BSEA proceedings and other dispute resolution meetings as needed.Contribute to and participate in Student Support Teams/Instructional Support Teams as appropriate.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and/or the Director of Pupil Services.
