TITLE: Teacher Librarian

LOCATION: North Bend Elementary (North Liberty, IA)

JOB SUMMARY: Create lesson plans and educational goals. Classroom management and keeping in appropriate communication with parents will be part of this role.

• Appropriate State of Iowa licensure.
• Practice and maintain confidentiality.

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability and patience to work with children and adolescents.
• Demonstrates good judgment.
• Evidence of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Capable of representing the school in a professional manner, which includes but not limited to confidentiality, communication skills, and dress.
• Regular attendance.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Develops and implements programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills to be delivered in a classroom setting for assigned students.
• Supports and implements the district curriculum, standards and benchmarks.
• Assists staff with strategies to support and meet students' needs and achievement of academic and social, emotional ,behavioral goals.
• Assists in planning and delivery of social/emotional/behavioral school-wide programming.
• Assists and collaborates with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals.
• Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.
• Meets the 8 Iowa Teaching Standards and 42 criteria on a consistent basis.
• Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
