You will be a key contributor that supports our businesses and corporate functions. Your role will be accountable for significant US federal, state, and Canadian tax issues, while providing key analysis and recommendations to leaders and decision makers.

In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President, Tax, and your essential responsibilities will include:
- Participating as a member of the tax leadership team overseeing the company’s overall tax function
- Helping facilitate business transactions through effective tax planning, including M&A, divestitures, joint ventures, restructuring and modeling
- Engaging in tax policy work, including federal and state legislation, administrative rule making, and coordination with key stakeholders and trade associations
- Supporting the company’s US and foreign (including REIT) tax compliance, tax provision and state and local tax functions
- Research and analyze tax issues and incorporate law changes into current year filings
Education: B.A. or B.S. is required. J.D. or Masters of Tax is beneficial in this role
Certifications: Certified Public Accountant preferred
Experience: 10-15 years combined in public accounting and/or a large multi-national corporation with REIT/real estate/corporate income tax emphasis. Some combination of public accounting experience is preferred

- Strong accounting, finance, and tax competencies, including corporate M&A, structuring and tax modeling
- Experience with REITs
- Ability to engage in federal, state and administrative tax policy making
- Proficiency in tax research tools, Microsoft Office, and general ledger software

What We Offer:
- Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $149,678 - $224,651 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. This position is also eligible to receive $51,000 in restrictive stock units on an annual basis, as part of our Long Term Incentive Plan.

- Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
- Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full time employees.
